This young girl was inspired by a piece done by L. Carter Holman, entitled "Procession". I painted it for my grand daughter with an eye for my own message to her: keep one eye gently opened for the warm things in life and the other eye ready for scrutiny. I wanted to remind her to wear comfortable shoes while she is young too, least she be saddled with hammertoes later in life.
