The Growing Fields I

Here I wanted to recall my years as a student at Washington State University. While driving across Snoqualmie Pass and along that endless highway back to Pullman from Seattle, I found myself often imagining all of those growing fields laying beneath a patchwork comforter, keeping the crops cozy and comfortable during the long winter's rest.
