Alex had dreams of finding gold in the hills underneath Dubonnet Manor and sold "lucrative shares" to his mine, unbeknownst to Jacques and Genevieve. However not much gold has ever come from that mine, his investors are getting upset, so recently he ran off with an Indian princess. No one has seen him in a very long while.
